10 Things Christians Should Never Say.

Part 1

1. “The preacher/elders are not meeting my needs.”

Believe it or not he’s not there to meet your needs. Jesus does that. They are there as a shepherd to watch over the entire flock and to see that healthy food is available and safe procedures are in place. They are there to help you be holy, not happy.

Being a Disciple of Jesus.

Being a disciple of Jesus means following Him, learning from Him, and seeking to live according to His teachings. It involves a personal commitment to Jesus as Lord and Savior, and a desire to imitate His life and character. Jesus called His disciples to a radical and transformative way of life, and He made it clear that there is a cost to being His follower.

How can we become disciples of Jesus Christ?

Becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ begins with repentance and faith when we acknowledge our sinfulness and our need for God’s forgiveness and salvation. We must believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again from the dead.

Christian discipleship and why is it important?

Christian discipleship is the process of following Jesus Christ and becoming more like him in every aspect of life. It is not a one-time decision, but a lifelong journey of learning, growing, serving, and sharing the gospel with others.

The Power of Confession: A Biblical Perspective on Sin and Atonement

Confession of sins has long been an integral part of the system of faith instituted by our God. The act of confession holds significant importance, serving as a means to acknowledge our shortcomings, seek forgiveness, and experience spiritual renewal.

Faithful and Steadfast: Navigating Trials and Temptations

In life, we often face trials and temptations that test our faith and character. It is during these moments that we must cling to our convictions and remain faithful to God’s word. The profound wisdom found in Revelation 2:10, Jude 21, and 2 Peter 2:20, provides guidance on how to navigate through challenging times while remaining steadfast in our devotion to God.

The Transformative Power of Baptism: Forgiveness and Renewal

Baptism is a sacred act and foundational to the teachings of Jesus. In it we find the forgiveness of sins and the transformative power of faith. Two key passages, Acts 2:38 and Romans 6:3-4, shed light on the profound significance of baptism.

The Necessity of Confessing Faith in Jesus.

One of the most important aspects of being a Christian is confessing faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This means publicly acknowledging that Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again from the dead. Confessing faith in Jesus also means living according to his teachings and commands and following his example of love and service.

The Necessity of Believing in Jesus.

One of the key teachings of the Bible is that faith is essential to pleasing God. In Hebrews 11:6, we read: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” This verse shows us two important aspects of faith: belief and action.

The Plan of Salvation.

Today, I want to introduce a new series in our Bulletin articles. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and I’m excited about the opportunity to finally start it. In this series of articles, we are going to explore God’s plan of salvation. Each week we will cover a step in the plan, digging into the various issues that surround each step. My plan for this series is to introduce the subject in the Bulletin and then preach on that same subject.

The Need to be close to the Church.

Anytime a Christian creates distance, whether intentional or not, between themselves and the church, they are in danger. They are in danger of falling away from the church, the family of God, and eventually from the Lord Himself. Some prefer to keep their distance, not get too involved with the work of the church. Instead, they chose to be something between a member and a visitor. They come on Sundays to the worship services, which is good, but have little or no interactions with the church the rest of the week.

Keeping it clear

I read a story about a young girl who loved playing skeet-ball at the local arcade. The story talks about how the little girl loved the arcade and an exciting trip to the arcade. Once they arrived, the little girl asked her dad for some money. Not having anything smaller, dad hands her a twenty-dollar bill with instructions to get change in the amount of two fives and a ten. It wasn’t long before dad went searching for her, and as you can imagine, found her playing the skeet-ball game and having the time of her life.

A New Day

Good morning Church. I hope that, like me, you are excited about this new day we’ve been given. Not only has the Lord blessed us with a whole new day He has allowed us to move past all of the struggles and hardships of the past two years. I know this has been hard on all of us but Praise the Lord; we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I Desire Mercy and Not Sacrifice.

In Matthew 12:1-8, we have an interesting story of Jesus and his disciples walking through grain fields. As they walked through the field, the disciples were hungry and began to pick some grain to eat. Continue reading “I Desire Mercy and Not Sacrifice.”

The significance of “Seven.”

Over the past weeks, we have been looking at John’s gospel and the significance of the number seven. I hope it has been interesting and enlightening for each of you. Each group of seven conveys an important idea for us about Jesus and his role in our faith. Continue reading “The significance of “Seven.””
